I've lived on both sides of the financial coin. Growing up with divorced parents, life with my mother meant being radically poor — navigating days without food, utilities, or basic necessities. Life with my father was the exact opposite, surrounded by mansions and million-dollar homes. I saw both worlds clearly, but neither one actually taught me how money worked.

Later in life, after going through two divorces, I found myself starting over from scratch each time. I went from comfortable living to sleeping on an air mattress with absolutely nothing, forcing myself to rebuild my life from the ground up as an adult. I know exactly how terrifying, exhausting, and overwhelming it is to start over — especially when you were never given the blueprint or the education to do so.

Professionally, I spent 11 years learning the inner workings of the financial and securities industry, moving from a local advisory admin to high-level broker-dealer operations. I learned the systems, mastered the jargon, and saw firsthand that money is a powerful tool — but if nobody shows you how to use it, it's completely useless.
